本标准适用于测定沸点范围约25~400℃，室温下粘度范围约0.2~10mm2/s之间的液态烃中总硫总量。本标准适用于总硫含量在1.0~8000mg/kg的石脑油、馏分油、发动机燃料和其他油品。
本标准适用于测定卤素含量低于0.35%（m/m）的液态烃中的总硫含量。
