【摘要】:1.1Thisguideprovidesasafetyauditsystemfortheevaluationofresidentialpools,spas,andhottubsbasedonalayers-of-protectionapproachtoreducetheincidenceofdrowninginvolvingyoungchildren.1.2Thisguideaddressesthehazardofunintentionalorunsupervisedentryofyoungchildrenintothewaterofpools,spas,andhottubs.1.3Thisguidedoesnotaddressallofthehazardspresentwhenaswimmingpool,spa,orhottubisconsiderednotoperational,thatis,nointentofbeingusedforanextendedperiodoftimeforreasonssuchasclosedfortheseason.1.4Thevaluesgivenininch-poundunitsaretobeconsideredthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
