【摘要】:Thistestmethodprovidesameansofmeasuringthetimeandextentofburningforcellularpolymericmaterials.Italsoprovidesameansofmeasuringburningratesformaterialsthatcontinuetoburnpastthespecifiedgagemarks.Thistestmethodprovidesameansofcomparingtheburningcharacteristicsofmaterialsoflikethicknessdensity,cellsize,andskinirregularities,includingtheeffectoffallingparticlesofcellularpolymericmaterials.Itmaybeusedforqualitycontrol,specificationacceptance,andforresearchanddevelopment.Suchmaterialsmaybefilledorreinforced,rigidorflexible,cutorformed.Inthistestmethod,thespecimensaresubjectedtooneormorespecificsetsoflaboratoryfiretestexposureconditions.Ifdifferenttestconditionsaresubstitutedoriftheanticipatedend-useconditionsarechanged,itmaynotbepossiblefromthistestmethodtopredictchangesintheperformancecharacteristicsmeasured.Therefore,theresultsarestrictlyvalidonlyforthefiretestexposureconditionsdescribedinthisprocedure.Thistestmethodisnotintendedtobeacriterionforfirehazard.Thefirehazardcreatedbymaterialsdependsupontheformandenduseofthematerial.Assessmentoffirehazardincludes,butisnotlimitedto,manyfactorssuchasflamespread,burningrate,easeofignition,fuelcontribution,heatevolution,productsofcombustion,andothers.1.1Thisfire-test-responsetestmethoddescribesasmall-scalehorizontallyorientedburningtestprocedureforcomparingtherelativerateofburningandtheextentandtimeofburningofcellularpolymericmaterialshavingadensitylessthan250kg/m3.1.2TheclassificationsystemdescribedintheAppendixX1isintendedforqualityassuranceandthepreselectionofcomponentmaterialsforproducts.1.3Thisstandardmeasuresanddescribestheresponseofmaterials,products,orassembliestoheatandflameundercontrolledconditions,butdoesnotbyitselfincorporateallfactorsrequiredforfirehazardorfireriskassessmentofthematerials,products,orassembliesunderactualfireconditions.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Foraspecifichazardstatement,seeNote3.Note18212;ThistestmethodandISO9772aretechnicallyequivalent.
