【摘要】:Thisspecificationcoverseyeprotectors,designedforusebyplayersofracketsports,women'slacrosse,fieldhockey,basketball,andbaseballthatminimizeorsignificantlyreduceinjurytotheeyeandadnexaduetoimpactandpenetrationbyracket-sportracketsandballs,women'slacrosseandfieldhockeysticksandballs,baseballs,andhands,elbows,andfingers.Protectiveeyewearoffersprotectiononlytotheeyesanddoesnotprotectotherpartsofthehead.Protectorsaredividedintofourtypesdependingontheirdesigncharacteristics.Thisspecificationappliestoeyeprotectorsforusebywearersofcorrectivelensesandalsobythoseplayerswhodonotrequireprescriptioneyewear.Note1-WarningPolycarbonatespectaclelensesshouldbeusedifspectaclesarewornunderprotectiveeyewear.Inthisstandard,theuseofthewords"shall"or"must"indicatesamandatoryrequirement.Theword"should"indicatesarecommendation.ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.MetricunitsofmeasurementinthisspecificationareinaccordancewiththeInternationalSystemofUnits(SI).Ifavalueformeasurementasgiveninthisspecificationisfollowedbyanequivalentvalueinotherunits,thefirststatedistoberegardedastherequirement.Agivenequivalentvaluemaybeapproximate.Thefollowingprecautionarycaveatpertainsonlytothetestmethodsportions,Sections9-11,ofthisspecification:Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
