【摘要】:Thistestmethodisdesignedasascreeningtestintheevaluationofcoatingsystemsandothermaterialsdesignedtoresistbiofoulingattachment.Thedegreeandtypeofbarnaclefoulingwillvaryaccordingtothegeographiclocationoftestsitesandthetimeofyearwhentestsareimplemented.Surfaceswithknownbarnacleadhesiveshearstrengthshouldbeexposedtoprovidecomparativedata.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthemeasurementofbarnacleadhesioninsheartosurfacesexposedinthemarineenvironment.Itisusedtoestablishtheabilityofasurfacetoreducebiofoulingadhesion.Surfaceswithknownbarnacleadhesionstrengthsareincludedtoserveascontrols.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
