【摘要】:ThispartofthisBritishStandardspecifiesfixingandapplicationrequirementsforspacersandchairssufficienttoachieveandmaintaincovertoreinforcementininsitureinforcedconcretememberssubjecttonormalconstructionloads.Applicationrequirementsincludetyingandspacing.ThisBritishStandardappliestoalltypesofreinforcementconformingtoBS4449andBS4482andsometypesofweldedfabricconformingtoBS4483,suppliedtothepreferredshapesandtolerancesgiveninBS8666.Otherimportantaspectssuchasclearandunambiguousdetailing,theneedtoconsiderbuildability,formworktolerancesandreinforcementarenotspecified.StandardsofworkmanshipandsupervisionarealsooutsidethescopeofthisBritishStandardasisameansofresistingwindloadsorenablingtheliftingofprefabricatedreinforcementcages.NOTE1Whereappropriate,thebasicprinciplescanbeappliedtoprecastconcreteorproprietarysystems.NOTE2StraightreinforcementforcurvilinearmemberstobeformedtoaradiusexceedingthemaximumradiusofbendinggiveninBS8666mayrequireextratyingandsupporttoresistadditionalloadscausedbythespringingeffectofthebars.
