【摘要】:1.1Thistestmethodcoversdeterminationoffacingpropertiesofflatsandwichconstructionssubjectedtoflexureinsuchamannerthattheappliedmomentsproducecurvatureofthesandwichfacingplanesandresultincompressiveandtensileforcesinthefacings.Permissiblecorematerialformsincludethosewithcontinuousbondingsurfaces(suchasbalsawoodandfoams)aswellasthosewithdiscontinuousbondingsurfaces(suchashoneycomb).1.2ThevaluesstatedineitherSIunitsorinch-poundunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Withinthetexttheinch-poundunitsareshowninbrackets.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemarenotexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemmustbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Combiningvaluesfromthetwosystemsmayresultinnonconformancewiththestandard.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Note1-AlternateproceduresfordeterminingthecompressivestrengthofunidirectionalpolymermatrixcompositesmaterialsinasandwichbeamconfigurationmaybefoundinTestMethodD5467.
